(21) BRITISH EMPIRE GAMES, VANCOUVER, CANADA, 31ST JULY - 7TH AUGUST 1954.

Ken Wilmshurst (Walton) equalled his British record with his winning triple jump of 50ft 1½in (15.27m). He also won the Long Jump. Other Surrey athletes to achieve victories were Peter Driver (SLH) in the 6 Miles and Chris Chataway (Achilles) in the 3 Miles.
