(21) BRITISH EMPIRE & COMMONWEALTH GAMES, KINGSTON, JAMAICA, 5TH - 13TH AUGUST 1966
There were 9 Surrey athletes in Kingston (8 representing England and 1 representing Wales). Silver medals were won by Jill Hall (Mitcham AC) in the 4x110 yards relay and Ray Middleton (Belgrave H) in the 20k walk. Jill also won a bronze medal in the 100 yards as did Anne Smith (Mitcham AC) in the 880 yards and Martin Winbolt Lewis (London AC) in the 4x440 yards relay.
(22) WAAA COMBINED EVENTS CHAMPIONSHIPS, HARLOW, 13TH AUGUST 1966
Following on from their victories in the individual championships four weeks previously Janet Oldall (Woking AC) was 2nd in the Intermediate Pentathlon and Barbara-Anne Barrett (Mitcham AC) was 3rd in the Junior Pentathlon.
(23) AAA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, HURLINGHAM, 13TH AUGUST 1966
Brendan Byrne (Mitcham AC) won the 2000m Steeplechase. Jim Vivian (Belgrave H), Leslie Taylor (Guildford & Godalming AC) and Neil Hancock (Millfield School) were 3rd in the 100 yards, 440yards and Javelin respectively.
(27) SURREY WOMENS CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS, CHEAM, 10TH DECEMBER 1966
Pam Davies (Selsonia LAC) won the Senior race was for the fifth successive year. Sue Fidler (Redhill & Reigate AC) won the Intermediate race. Ann Dunn (Selsonia LAC) won the Junior race.
