(46) EUROPEAN UNDER-20 TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS, TAMPERE, FINLAND, 7TH-10TH AUGUST 2025.

Congratulations to the following Surrey athletes who have been selected to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland:-

Katie Pye (AFD) - 5000m;

Arabella Wilson (TVH) - 400m Hurdles.

Congratulations to Conor Kelly (Hercules Wimbledon) on his selection for the Ireland team in 400m & 4x400m.

Conor Kelly won the 400m Final with an Irish U20 Record of 45.83.

Arabella Wilson was 5th in the final of the 400m Hurdles with a personal best of 57.34.

(48) SURREY SENIOR WOMEN 5000M & 100M HURDLES RECORDS, 9TH AUGUST 2025.

Competing in the IFAM meeting held at Oordegem, Belgium on 9th August 2025 Georgie Grgec (Herne Hill) set a new Surrey Record for SW 5000m of 15:03.37. The previous Surrey record of 15:14.1 was set by Emelia Gorecka (AFD) in 2014.

Competing in the same meeting Marcia Sey (Blackheath & Bromley) set a new Surrey Record for SW 100mH of 12.77/+1.5 The previous Surrey record of 12.88/+1.5 was set Marcia in June.

(49) WORLD MOUNTAIN RUNNING CHAMPIONSHIPS TRIAL RACE, WHINLATTER FOREST, 17th AUGUST 2025.

The trial race for the World Mountain Running Championships, held at Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District over 14km with 750m ascent, was won by Nancy Scott (AFD) in 1:09:07, with a winning margin of 91 seconds.
The win guarantees selection for the World Championships be held in Canfranc, Spain, 25th - 28th September.

(50) SURREY SENIOR WOMEN HIGH JUMP RECORD, 27TH AUGUST 2025.

Competing in the Diamond League Finals meeting held at Zurich, Switzerland on 27th August 2025 Morgan Lake (WSEH) set a new Surrey Record for SW High Jump of 2.00m. This was a UK National Record and beat the previous Surrey record of 1.97m which Morgan set in 2018.

(51) SURREY UNDER-17 MEN 100M RECORD, 30TH AUGUST 2025.

Competing in the Be Fit Today Track Academy meeting held on 30th August 2025 at Lee Valley Farrell Fabusiwa (Croydon) became the sole holder of the Surrey U17M 100m record with a time of 10.47/+1.7. The previous record of 10.50 was set by him in May and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Sutton & District) ran 10.5 in 2004.

Three Championship Best Performances were set:-

(1) U17 Women 4x100m - 47.68 Herne Hill Harriers (Princess Okoma, Olivia Stockwell-Green, Pyale Wifa & Ella Rennie). Previous CBP 48.49 by Guildford & Godalming AC in 2016;

(2) U20 Women 4x400m - 4:00.54 Herne Hill Harriers (Sophie Wright, Orla Wright, Lily-Rose Brown & Lucy Wright). Previous CBP 4:17.44 by Epsom & Ewell Harriers in 2019;

(3) U17 Women Heptathlon - 4741pts Jasmine Nkoso (Herne Hill). Previous CBP 4674pts by Clover Wynter-Pink (Croydon) in 1993.

(53) SURREY UNDER-17 MEN LONG JUMP RECORD EQUALLED, 7TH SEPTEMBER 2025.

Competing in the Milton Keynes Open meeting held on 7th September 2025 Michael Maguire (Reigate Priory) jumped 7.47m/+1.3 to equal the Surrey Record for U17M Long Jump set by Bernard Yeboah (Croydon) in 2002.

(54) WORLD ATHLETICS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS, TOKYO, JAPAN, 13TH-21ST SEPTEMBER 2025.

Congratulations to the following Surrey athletes who were confirmed on 1st September as being selected to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland:-

Morgan Lake (WSEH) - High Jump;

Romell Glave (Croydon) - 100m & 4x100m;

Tyri Donovan (WSEH) - 400m Hurdles;

Lawrence Okoye (Croydon) - Discus.

Conor Kelly (Hercules Wimbledon) - 4x400m representing Ireland.

Adelle Tracey (Guildford & Godalming) - 800m & 1500m representing Jamaica.

Tyri Donovan sets a new Surrey Record with a time of 48.26 when finishing 2nd in the 400m Hurdles heats. The previous record of 48.73 was set by Jon Ridgeon (Belgrave) in 1992. Tyri then further improved the record when he finished 4th in the first semi-final with a time of 48.21.

(56) SURREY UNDER-17 MEN 200M RECORD, 14TH SEPTEMBER 2025.

Competing in the Stratford Speed meeting held on 14th September 2025 Farell Fabusiwa (Croydon) improved the record he set at this year's County Championships by 2 hundredths with his time of 21.08/-1.6.

(57) WORLD MOUNTAIN RUNNING CHAMPIONSHIPS, CANFRANC, SPAIN, 25TH - 28TH SEPTEMBER 2025.

Two Surrey athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland:-
Nancy Scott (AFD) has been selected for the Womens Classic Up-and-Down event and
Oscar Subuh-Symons (DMV) has been selected for the Mens Uphill event.

In the Uphill Race (6,4k with elevation of 990m), Oscar Subuh-Symons finished 47th in a time of 44'05", 6'15" behind the winner. He was the fourth GB athlete to finish, though only one place and four seconds behind the third.

In the Classic Race (14k with elevation of 775m), Nancy Scott finished 23rd in a time of 1:18'09", 7'09" behind the winner. She was the second GB athlete to finish.

In other selection news, following the World Championship Trials at Whinlatter Forest in August, Evie Warren (Guildford & Godalming) has been selected to represent England U23 at the Trofeo Vanoni Mountain Running Relay Race at Morbegno, Lombardy, Italy on Sunday October 26th. (This was the race for which Alice Crane and Ellen Weir were selected last year).

(60) ENERGY VISION CROSS CUP, ROESELARE, BELGIUM, SUNDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2025.

Charlotte Dannatt (Camberley & District), Katie Pye (Aldershot Farnham & District) and Sabrina Coppola Johansen (Aldershot Farnham & District) were selected to represent England

In the Senior race (7800m), Charlotte led the English team, finishing 4th overall in a time of 27'32", a deficit of 39" on the winner.

In the Under 20 race (4700m), Katie was also 4th, with a time of 16'44", 25" behind teammate and race winner Zoe Gilbody. With Isabel Holt finishing 2nd, a dominant England team was closed out by Sabrina in 7th, in a time of 17'28".

TROFEO VANONI INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN RUNNING RELAY RACE, MOEBEGNO, ITALY, SUNDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2025.

The women's race is run over two 5km legs, starting with 248m of ascent before the descent back to the finish.
Evie Warren (Guildford & Godalming) ran the opening leg for England B, finishing 10th in 24'23". Overall, she was 17th fastest (5th fastest U23).and quickest of all the England runners. England B finished in 9th place.
Also taking part was Nancy Scott (Aldershot Farnham & District), who ran for the Snowdon Race Team, having won that race earlier this summer. She, too, ran the first leg, and was first to the top of the climb, before finishing second in 22'37". Overall, she was 3rd fastest and 2nd fastest up the climb. Snowdon Race Team finished in 3rd position.
