Across the four age groups only Jeina Mitchell (Hercules Wimbledon) managed a top-50 place when she finished 7th in the Girls event.

There were no Surrey athletes in the GB & NI team.

(12) AAA & WAAA JUNIOR INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, COSFORD, 18TH/19TH MARCH 1989

A good weekend for Surrey athletes with 10 medals including 5 Golds. Julia Bennett (Epsom & Ewell) had the most success winning both the High Jump and the Long Jump.

Congratulations to Gary Staines (Belgrave) and David Clarke (Hercules Wimbledon) who, as the 2nd & 3rd finishers for the GB & NI team won silver team medals.
