Joice Maduaka (SW 60m), Donna Fraser (SW 200m), Judy Oakes (SW SP) & Julia Bennett (SW Pentathlon) were our winners. In addition Surrey athletes also won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Tim Sinclair (U17M 60mH), Kia Wnuk (U17W PV), Emeka Udechuku (U20M SP) & Sarah Zawada (U17W 200m) were our winners. In addition Surrey athletes also won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
(5) CAU INTER-COUNTY CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS, CARDIFF, SATURDAY, 1ST MARCH FEBRUARY 1998
SARAH-JANE PICKETT 1ST IN UNDER-13 GIRLS RACE AND THE TEAM WERE 2ND.
This event was combined with the Reebok Challenge Final and the World Trials following the previously scheduled event at Luton on 10th January being postponed.

(7) SEAA INTER-COUNTY CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS, SHUTTLEWORTH, BEDFORDSHIRE, 19TH DECEMBER 1998
The Surrey Senior Women Team of Stephanie Cook, Rachel Disley, Ceri Diss and Anita Mellowdew retained the title they won at Exeter in 1997. NOTE. Stephanie Cook won the Olympic Modern Pentathlon title in 2000. The Under-15 Girls came third. Daniel Getliffe was our highest placed individual - 2nd U23M - with Genevieve Gardener - 5th U15G - and Stephanie Cook - 5th SW - the next highest.
