(1) SURREY COUNTY AAA (MENS ASSOCIATION) ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, WIMBLEDON, 16TH FEBRUARY 1967
The 44th AGM of SCAAA was held at the Wimbledon Conservative Association, Trinity Road at 7.00pm on Thursday, 16th February 1967. There were 51 names recorded on the attendance list.
The Annual Accounts showed that for the year ending 31st December 1967 there was an excess of Expediture over Income of £57.5s.0d. The Balance Sheet showed £464.9s.5d of Fixed Assets, Current Assets and Cash. The Association was reported to hold 30 trophies valued at £1052.10s.0d.
The following officers were elected: President - Howard Downing; Hon. General Secretary - Doug Goodman; Hon. Treasurer - John Martell and Hon. Assistant Secretary - J H F Cooke. Frank Jarvis was added to list of Vice-Presidents making a total of 27 names.
The meeting approved the following schedule of Annual Affiliation fees:-
Clubs up to 50 members
15s.0d
Clubs 51 - 100 members
£1.10s.0d
Clubs 101 - 150 members
£2.5s.0d
Clubs over 150 members
£3.0s.0d
Business House Clubs
£1.1s.0d
Honorary members
£1.1s.0d
The meeting approved that schools could affiliate for a fee of 10s.0d and would be entitled to one vote. A proposal that the fee should be £1.1s.0d was defeated.
(2) SURREY COUNTY WAAA (WOMENS ASSOCIATION) ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, 1ST DECEMBER 1967
The AGM was held at Merton Abbey Primary School and was attended by 38 persons.
Mrs Hazel Read was elected as President for the next year. Brenda Bedford and Pam Davies were elected as Life Vice-Presidents and Jean Peck was made a Vice-President.
The following officers were elected: Chairman - Dave Shepherd; Hon Secretary - Jim Braben; Assist. Secretary - Jean Hutcherson; Hon Treasurer - Hazel Read and Hon Champs Secretary - Win Shepherd.
